A Brief History of the Grand Ballroom…

The Windber Borough historical ballroom can be found within the boundaries of the picturesque Windber Recreation Park. The ballroom has been a part of Windber’s rich history for over 125 years. Memories have been made by and passed down by families and friends who have enjoyed countless moments through weddings, reunions, birthday parties of all ages and much more.

Our newly renovated facility will easily seat 300 people. Heat, air conditioning and a newly added catering kitchen have been added to provide all year-round comfort for your event. An outdoor deck provides the perfect breath of air and striking view of the overnight stars. An addition of a bridal changing room will eliminate distractions, allowing you to prepare to say, “I do”.
